(October 4, 1999)

Milpitas, CA - DISC Inc. (NASDAQ: DCSR), a leading manufacturer of automated library solutions for enterprise storage, announced today that they have received their ISO 9001 certification in September; making their facility in Milpitas, CA and processes fully compliant with world-class quality standards.

The ISO 9000 Standard, established by the International Organization of Standards, is the model for quality assurance in design, development and production.
